Snowbasin is proud to introduce the new Discovery Pass Program for the upcoming 2013/14 Winter Season. The Discovery Pass program gives several options for skiers and riders to enjoy all that Snowbasin has to offer. Beginning March 23rd, Snowbasin’s Discovery Pass can be purchased online through Snowbasin’s eStore or in person at Earl’s Lodge between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm ending on September 2nd.

The Discovery Value Pass is available for a limited time for only $489. The Value Pass contains some restrictions including holiday blackout dates. For those people who want to enjoy Snowbasin every day of the season we offer the Discovery Premier Pass. The Premier Pass offers unlimited skiing and riding at Snowbasin, 2013 summer gondola use, a $159 rate on hotel rooms at Sun Valley Lodge or Inn during the 2013-14 ski season on a space available basis, a 15% discount on winter repairs in the Grizzly Center, two 50% off buddy vouchers, and tubing hill discounts. The Premier Pass is available for $649 with no blackout dates. Finally, when you purchase any 2013/2014 Discover Pass you will be able to ski the rest of the 2012/2013 winter season!

John Paul Lodge will be reducing its restaurant services for the remainder of the 2012-13 season. John Paul will be offering Pizza & Soups Monday Through Friday with Grill Items, Pizza, & Soups on Saturdays and Sundays. Pasta and Salad items will no longer be offered at John Paul Lodge for the remainder of the 2012-13 season.
Starting Monday, April 1st, John Paul Lodge be offering cold snacks only for the remainder of the 2012-2013 season.
Snowbasin Resort will be hosting a ski day for Hill Air Force Base on Friday, March 29th. Lift tickets cost $56 and are “ONLY” available at Hill AFB Tickets & Travel (801-777-2225) now through March 28th. People will not be able to purchase tickets the day of or at Snowbasin. In participation with NSAA’s National Safety Week starting tomorrow Snowbasin’s Ski Patrol will be offering skiers & snowboarders the chance to “Know The Code” and win a prize. Individuals can approach Ski Patrol and be tested on how many rules they know from the NSAA’s Responsibility Code. A person who knows at least three rules of the Responsibility Code will receive a coupon for a free drink. A person who answers four or more is entered into a daily drawing for a helmet from January 19th through January 27th.
Snowbasin is proud to introduce the Lucky 13 Program! For $39 an individual will receive a Little Cat Lift ticket, 2 Hour Group Lesson and Basic Rental. Lessons are available daily at 10 am and 1 pm. Lucky 13 is designed for first time and beginner skiers & snowboarders “Only”.
*Lucky 13 is available from January 1st through the 13th.

Snowbasin Resort will be expanding its terrain with the opening of the Strawberry Gondola and Base Area, December 30th. This will allow skiers and snowboarders access to Elk Ridge, Last Chance, Main Street, Trapper Trail, and Bear Springs runs. Keep checking back to the Snowbasin Blog as we will be expanding more terrain as weather permits.
Snowbasin Resort will open the John Paul Express Lift tomorrow, December 27th. Please be aware that the terrain accessed by John Paul Express is limited to advanced and expert Skiers/Snowboarders only. Early season conditions exist. Many unmarked hazards exist at or just below the snow surface. Please obey all posted signs. Due to these early season conditions there will be no groomed runs available from the John Paul Express. Snowbasin will open additional terrain as weather and snow conditions permit.
