In participation with NSAA’s National Safety Week starting tomorrow Snowbasin’s Ski Patrol will be offering skiers & snowboarders the chance to “Know The Code” and win a prize. Individuals can approach Ski Patrol and be tested on how many rules they know from the NSAA’s Responsibility Code. A person who knows at least three rules of the Responsibility Code will receive a coupon for a free drink. A person who answers four or more is entered into a daily drawing for a helmet from January 19th through January 27th.

Snowbasin is proud to introduce the Lucky 13 Program! For $39 an individual will receive a Little Cat Lift ticket, 2 Hour Group Lesson and Basic Rental. Lessons are available daily at 10 am and 1 pm. Lucky 13 is designed for first time and beginner skiers & snowboarders “Only”.
*Lucky 13 is available from January 1st through the 13th.

Snowbasin Resort will be expanding its terrain with the opening of the Strawberry Gondola and Base Area, December 30th. This will allow skiers and snowboarders access to Elk Ridge, Last Chance, Main Street, Trapper Trail, and Bear Springs runs. Keep checking back to the Snowbasin Blog as we will be expanding more terrain as weather permits.
Snowbasin Resort will open the John Paul Express Lift tomorrow, December 27th. Please be aware that the terrain accessed by John Paul Express is limited to advanced and expert Skiers/Snowboarders only. Early season conditions exist. Many unmarked hazards exist at or just below the snow surface. Please obey all posted signs. Due to these early season conditions there will be no groomed runs available from the John Paul Express. Snowbasin will open additional terrain as weather and snow conditions permit.

Snowbasin is proud to announce the opening of Becker lift on Monday Dec 24th! Skiers & Snowboards will now be able to access more beginner and intermediate terrain through Slow Road. With Becker lift opening Snowbasin will be offering over 20 trails and 2500+ vertical feet.
In addition to Becker lift Snowbasin will have Needles Gondola, Middle Bowl Triple, Porcupine Triple, and Little Cat lifts open for your enjoyment. New lift ticket prices are as follows:

Snowbasin is starting a new tradition this year with hosting our first SUPER BOWL party at the Cinnabar Lounge. We will be offering an all you can eat buffet wtih 2 types of wings, wraps, and sliders just to name a few. The Cinnabar staff will have trivia and prize giveaways during the event while you enjoy the game on our brand new 65″ HD tv’s. The Super Bowl party kicks off at 4:00 pm and is $15 per person.

Bob Aamodt’s Vertical Challenge with be coming back to Snowbasin this year for its 6th anniversary on February 26th, 2013. The event will take place from 9 am to 3 pm. Registration will be from 7:30 am to 8:30 am at the Old Day Lodge. Awards ceremony to take place at 4 pm at the Old Day Lodge.
Just as the challenges before all proceeds from Bob’s Vertical Challenge go to Scoutreach, an officially recognized charity arm of the Boys Scouts of America (BSA). Scoutreach aids youth groups such as YMCA, Youth Impact, The Boys and Girls Clubs ofWeber-DavisCounties, and Boys and Girls Clubs ofBrigham CityandCacheValley. It also offers assistance toOgdenCityschools as well as providing camp scholarships and program and registration fees these deserving programs.

Snowbasin Resort is proud to announce that we will be offering UTA public Bus service from Ogden up to our resort. Service will originate from the Transit Center in downtown Ogden. First service for skiers departs as early as 7:55 a.m. Service will leave Snowbasin as late as 4:30 p.m. Riders should consult the official schedule at www.rideuta.com for specific weekday, weekend and holiday schedules.
