Snowbasin will be hosting a Super G Race Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the John Paul Area of the resort for ages 14 and under. We will have some of the following trails either closed or with limited access. Starting at the bottom Wildflower Run accessed continuing down Draba Drop along with City Hill will be closed to the public. You will still be able to ski Wildflower but will need to exit through Parson’s Run to Blue Grouse. Once on Blue Grouse you will have skier’s right side access into Showboat accessing Little Cat Terrain Park and the bottom of Wildcat Bowl leading to the base area. There is no better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than to take your mom to brunch at Earl’s Lodge on Sunday, May 12th. Lukas Nelson, with his band Promise of the Real, return to the Wasatch on St. Patrick’s Day to play a FREE outdoor concert on the patio of Earl’s Lodge. Lukas is no stranger to Utah as he has played to several large shows in the Park City and Salt Lake areas. From large sell-out crowds all over the country, countless festivals, and everything in between, he lands on March 17th in Huntsville UT for a free outdoor après ski show for the ages. Snowbasin is honored and proud to be hosting this live music event. And moreover, Snowbasin is extremely excited to be sharing this event with it’s loyal patrons. This is our way of saying thank you and supporting us this season.
Along with the concert, beverages, multiple food stations, and a VIP area (tickets $20) will be available on the patio that day with plenty of St. Patrick’s Day Shenanigans. The VIP area will be serving a full bar; and besides great exclusive viewing, a take home refillable cup will be part of the package as well as a CD signing from Lukas Nelson and Members of Promise of the Real at the end of the show. VIP tickets will be available to purchase in Earl’s Lodge beginning March 1st.

The Australian Women’s Aerial Ski Team, also known as “The Flying Kangaroos” will be competing this Friday, February 1st at the annual FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships taking place at Deer Valley and Park City Mountain Resorts. Come cheer on Snowbasin’s international partners in their breathtaking aerials for a high flying experience you’ll never forget.
In addition, The Flying Kangaroos will be at Snowbasin on Sunday, February 3rd to meet the public and sign autographs in Earl’s Lodge from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
About the Flying Kangaroos and Snowbasin:
The Flying Kangaroos have made Snowbasin their North American Home Resort since 2003. The team of young women includes World Champions and Olympic Medalists including two gold and a silver in Vancouver 2010. These women will be working on their technical skiing skills, aerial jumping, and simply skiing different types of terrain at Snowbasin. They’ll be easy to recognize in their Australian ski team uniforms.
In participation with NSAA’s National Safety Week starting tomorrow Snowbasin’s Ski Patrol will be offering skiers & snowboarders the chance to “Know The Code” and win a prize. Individuals can approach Ski Patrol and be tested on how many rules they know from the NSAA’s Responsibility Code. A person who knows at least three rules of the Responsibility Code will receive a coupon for a free drink. A person who answers four or more is entered into a daily drawing for a helmet from January 19th through January 27th.
