Snowbasin Resort will be hosting a blood drive on Thursday March 6th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the Huntington Room of Earl’s Lodge. Bob Vertical Challenge with be coming back to Snowbasin Resort this year for its 7th annual run on February 27th, 2014. The event will take place from 9 am to 3:30 pm. Registration will be from 7:30 am to 8:45 am at the Old Day Lodge with the event starting at 9 am. Lunch will be included with the day’s activities. An awards ceremony will occur at 4 pm at the Old Day Lodge.
Just as the challenges before, all proceeds from Bob’s Vertical Challenge go to Scout reach, an officially recognized charity arm of the Boys Scouts of America (BSA). Scout reach aids youth groups such as YMCA, Youth Impact, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Weber-Davis Counties, and Boys and Girls Clubs of Brigham City and Cache Valley. It also offers assistance to Ogden City schools, as well as providing scout camp scholarships and registration fees for youth.

On September 28th, 2013, Zoe Sports will host its first 5K trail run/walk fundraiser at Maples Trail located at Snowbasin Resort. Registration begins at 8 am, and set groups will start the trail race at 9 am. Run Your Trail Off will raise vital funds for the Brain Injury Alliance of Utah, a non profit organization whose profits go to children and veterans with brain injuries. The profits are needed to help provide information and resources to survivors, family awareness, prevention programs, and individuals returning to work.
US National A team Snowboarder, Paralympic hopeful, and local athlete, Keith Grizzly Gabel has enthusiastically committed to support the fundraiser and share his inspiring story and sign autographs.
The entrance fee to enter the race is $15, this cost includes a t-shirt and water bottle. Energy bars, water, and one drawing ticket will be provided for all individuals who enter. Family members and friends can also purchase additional drawing tickets for $5 each. At the end of the race there will be a drawing for prizes from those who have generously donated to the cause.
Snowbasin Resort will be hosting our annual Christmas Eve Celebration on December 24, so c’mon up and help spread some Holiday Cheer with your family, friends and neighbors the Snowbasin way: great food, great times with loved ones and cherished memories. Christmas Eve dinner will be served in Earl’s Lodge from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm with a choice of classic roasted turkey with cranberry cornbread stuffing, glazed ham, roasted stuffed pork loin as well as delectable house made desserts. The servory will also be open for cocoa, refreshment and the Cinnabar will also be open for those that need a little more pick-me-up.

Festivities will include Santa’s arrival on Earl’s Plaza by sleigh at 5:30 pm for photos by our friends at Faceshots Photography* followed by Snowbasin Resort’s famous torchlight parade at 6:30 pm with more than 50 skiers & snowboarders coming down City Hill. To finish the night we will have fireworks at 6:45 pm. All viewing festivities are FREE.
Reservations will not be taken for this festive and very popular event as it is on a first come first serve basis. Please know and understand that this is not a ‘sit-down full service event’ and it is typically very busy and crowded – especially 5:00 or later. As the leaves fall, the air gets a little cooler and the days get shorter we are all quickly reminded that winter is right around the corner. However, before the snow falls and the lifts begin to turn we are hosting one last special Halloween event. This year at Earl’s Lodge we are going to go all out and decorate in a ‘Spooktacular’ fashion along with games and activities for the kiddos. There will be a costume contest for adults and kids, a bobbing for apples contest, a ‘Haunted’ photo booth and of course the incredible food. This year, we have turned up the heat come up with a menu where many of the items will be prepared in the dining room fresh to order from chef action stations. This alone will be worth the trip.
Doors open at 5:30 pm food begins at 6:30 and goes until 8:30 and the dancing will go until…?? You guys decide. Full bar will be available from the Cinnabar. $29 for adults (12 and over) $18 for Youth (ages 5-11) and Kids 5 and under are FREE.

Help Snowbasin Resort close out the last weekend of our summer season with an ‘Oktoberfest’ style party done in true Snowbasin fashion Saturday October 5th! 8 Local UT craft brews will be “on tap” to satisfy all your beer needs and wants. German food staples like bratwurst, special sausages and home-made sauerkraut will be ready hot off-the-grill while summer BBQ favorites like brisket, burgers and pulled pork will be available for purchase. In typical Snowbasin fashion we will have live music form “Two and a Half White Guys” playing Ska & Rock Steady music to entertain your festive afternoon.
Entrance to the event is FREE. Beer Tokens will be available for purchase (must be 21 + with valid ID) at $2 each that can be redeemed for one 6oz sampler beer. 2 Tokens will get you 12oz of beer. Seasonal, specialty & high point beers will all be available to token holders.

Come join the Ogden Astronomical Society and fellow star enthusiasts to observe the breath taking night time views Snowbasin Resort has to offer on Friday September 20th. Telescopes for public viewing will be available on the Needles Lodge deck compliments of the Ogden Astronomy Club. Gondola service begins at 5:30 and food service will be available until 9:30 pm. Last Gondola down is at 10:00 pm. New this year Snowbasin will have two food areas at Needles Lodge: BBQ on the Patio of Needles and the Main Dining Servory inside the lodge. Lift tickets for adults are $10, Children $5, Ages 6 and under are free. Those with a 2013-14 “Premier” & “Value” season pass have free lift access for this event.
