Snowbasin will be celebrating America’s independence with a Rail Jam at Earl’s Lodge base area on July 3rd.  Open to both skiers and snowboards Snowbasin will be supported by Blindside, NEFF, LRG, and Salomon to name a few.  So get your rail set up out because we are going to have a real good time with this one!  Snowbasin will also have a BBQ and music by the Kap Brothers for your entertainment on the 3rd.(Details below)

Snowbasin will be closing on Sunday April 17th and to celebrate another record season we will be providing music by local favorites the Kap Brothers.  They will be playing on the patio at Earl’s Lodge from 11:30am-2:30pm weather permitting.  So come out and get one last ski or snowboard day in before Snowbasin closes for the snow season and listen to some great local music.

Concert to Take Place on Ogden’s Historic 25th Street at 9pm

Burr Ridge, Ill. – Jan 20, 2011 – Iconic rapper, Ice Cube, will perform a FREE concert on the Winter Dew Tour’s music stage Friday, February 11th at 9pm. The concert will be held on the 200 block of Ogden’s Historic 25th Street as part of the Toyota Championship, the third and final stop of the 2010-11 Winter Dew Tour season. The four day event – held February 10-13, 2011 – will feature competitions with the best men and women snowboard and freeski athletes in both slopestyle and superpipe disciplines at Snowbasin Resort in Ogden, Utah.

Known to be one of the most important figures in rap history, Ice Cube began his career with theNotorious West Coast Gangsta Rap Group N.W.A two decades ago. At the height of the group’s success, Ice Cube broke away to start his own solo career. His initial release, “Amerikkka’s Most Wanted” sold over a million copies. His sophomore solo effort, “Death Certificate” debuted at #1 on the R&B Album chart, #2 on the Top 200 album chart and went on to sell over two million copies. In its third season, the top athletes in the world will take part in the 2010-11 Winter Dew Tour, all competing for the highly coveted Dew Cup that will be awarded at the Toyota Championship at Snowbasin Resort in Ogden, Utah. The 2009-10 Dew Cup champions include Andreas Hatveit (Freeski Slopestyle), Jossi Wells (Freeski Superpipe), Jamie Anderson (Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle), Sage Kotsenburg (Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle), Kaitlyn Farrington (Women’s Snowboard Superpipe), JJ Thomas (Men’s Snowboard Superpipe).

Summer concerts in Wildflower Meadow continue every Sunday with Flew The Coop (Classic Rock) on July 25th from 1 – 5pm. A delicious BBQ begins at 12:30pm, with a variety of cold beverages! Bring your sun shade, blanket and/or chairs and enjoy the afternoon. Limited tables are also available in the meadow, just infront of the Grizzly Center at the base. No charge for admission! The music series continues through October 3rd.

State law prohibits outside alcohol. Please – no dogs or outside food in the Meadow.

The Kap Brothers rocked it out on a picture perfect July 4th afternoon at Snowbasin.  Lot’s of people had a great time under the sun for the second event in our summer music series.

Kristi Devries will take the stage from 1pm – 5pm with tunes the entire family will enjoy. Season pass sales will also kick-off on Father’s Day!  Buy your pre-season discounted pass for the 2010/2011 winter season, and use it for unlimited summer gondola access.  Summer only season passes are also available, and will make a great gift for dad.
