Accounting Audit Clerk Open Position Winter 2014

SUMMARY: The Audit Clerk is responsible for verifying the accuracy of daily payments, preparation and balancing bank deposits, and end of day balancing. Duties also include accounts payables data entry and vendor statement research. This is a position of guest service, supporting cashiers from all departments and helping in other areas as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Audit the daily sales and cashier reports for all revenue departments
2. Prepare cashier banks for all locations, verifying totals and making change where necessary
3. Count and verify money for daily bank deposit, verify all payment types (cash, cc, billing payment) against daily reports.
4. Identify and resolve problems that occurred during the daily sales reconciliation. Communicate with Cash Office Supervisor to resolve any errors and follow up until the problem is solved.
5. Perform vault audits, including spot bank audits on a regular basis.
6. Audits the procedures of the cashiers and all points of sale.
7. Responsible for accurate daily safe count.
8. Support cashiers with shift close.
9. Assist with change distribution.
10. Excellent customer service and communication skills to both internal and external customers.
11. Assist in other accounting duties: AP Data entry and AP Statement reviews.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:
1. Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Snowbasin Resort guests at all times.
2. Promptly report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor and/or appropriate department(s).
3. Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor and appropriate department(s), following documented procedures.
4. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resort’s Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.
5. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
6. Drive in accordance with the law and Snowbasin Resort policies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Entry level. Must possess good knowledge of service and food & beverage products and have cooked some place prior.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have or obtain food handlers
