<p><strong>Ogden, UT</strong>—Marking half-a-dozen years of slopestyle goodness, Salomon Jib Academy has announced its schedule for 2012. Five ski areas in the U.S. and Canada will host young athletes in one of the sport’s most coveted opportunities to learn from Salomon pros and compete for the chance to attend a week-long dream session at the Salomon Jib Academy North American Finals at Mammoth Mountain Resort in May 2012.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The OVWSF and Snowbasin are proud to introduce the Snowbasin Freeski Team development program. The program, a partnership between the OVWSF andSnowbasinSnowsportsLearningCenter, is designed to take skiers into the realm of freeride skiing.  Not only will students hone in on advanced skiing skills, they will also receive training in the terrain park, halfpipe, big mountain skiing, as well as mountain safety.  Gordon Perry OVWSF Director said, “The foundation has had a demand for freeskiing for the past couple of years and with the addition of a new head coach Jake Seipel, he will bring the quality of coaching and guidance people have grown to expect of the OVWSF and Snowbasin.”</p>

<p>Jake Seipel originally fromPennsylvaniabrings 10 + years of instruction and coaching to Snowbasin.  Jake’s qualifications include PSIA Level 1 Alpine, PSIA Freeride Accreditation, and a USASA Level 2 Coach.   &#8220;I am really hyped at this opportunity to add a freeski element to Snowbasin and the OVWSF as well as progress the vast amount of local ski talent already at Snowbasin.”  Jake Said</p>

<p> <strong>Burr Ridge, Ill. – June 29, 2011 –</strong> The Winter Dew Tour today announced the full schedule for the 2011-12 season. Closing out the season with the Winter Dew Tour Championships, Snowbasin Resort in Ogden, Utah has been chosen as the stage for the final event of the season. Showcasing the world’s top freeski and snowboard athletes competing in slopestyle and superpipe, the event will take place February 9-12, 2012 and will feature the year-ends Awards Ceremony.</p>
<p>Boasting the largest media platform in all of winter action sports, The Winter Dew Tour will be televised live on NBC with additional domestic and international programming reaching more than 200 million households worldwide.</p>
<p>&#8220;It is terrific to be selected once again to host the season ending Winter Dew Tour Championship,” said Jeff Robbins, president and CEO of the Utah Sports Commission. &#8220;Last year&#8217;s event drove significant economic impact and brought tremendous international media exposure to Utah. Also, with the 2011 event at Snowbasin setting an all-time Winter Dew Tour attendance record, it highlights that Utah remains a great location to host major sporting events.”</p>
<p>“Snowbasin is excited to welcome the Dew Tour back in February 2012 and showcase our resort to a worldwide audience,” said Kent Lyons, General Manager of Snowbasin. “The opportunity to welcome the best snowboarders and skiers to our resort has proven to be very popular with our guests and we hope to again demonstrate the sports appeal of the Ogden and Northern Utah area to yet another record-setting audience.”</p>
<p>The Winter Dew Tour continues its commitment to progression in winter action sports, featuring premier 22-foot superpipes and the highest level slopestyle courses at each stop. Cornerstone elements including live music and a festival village will remain a mainstay of the Tour. Rising freeski and snowboard stars will also have an opportunity to solidify a regular spot through a qualifying system hosted at the Breckenridge event.</p>

<div><strong>Ogden, Utah – February 13, 2011 –</strong> After  dominating on the slopes all season, 19-year-old Bobby Brown of   Breckenridge, Colo. concluded the Toyota Championship as the overall   men’s freeski slopestyle Dew Cup champion. Brown narrowly missed the  podium in today’s final with a fourth place finish, but  earned enough  points to push him to the top of the freeski slopestyle  rankings and  take home the coveted Cup. With his hometown cheering him  on, Park  City, Utah native Alex Schlopy, 18, won his first Winter Dew Tour final  in men’s freeski slopestyle. On the  women’s front, Canadian Kay Turski,  22, landed on top of the podium with  a winning score of 89.50.</div>

<div><span style="font-size: x-small;">“I’m super stoked about winning the Dew Cup,” said  Brown. “It’s great to be out here in the sunny weather here in Snowbasin  and to end up winning. I’m pumped.”</span></div>

<div><span style="font-size: x-small;">The men’s freeski slopestyle final concluded with  local Utah athletes in the number one and two podium positions. Schlopy  wowed the crowd with a technical run that included a front 3 swap, blind  3 swap, blind 2 out, blind 630 out of the canyon, lefside 900 to switch 1440 for a top score of 94.50. After  winning the Last Chance Qualifier and placing first in the prelims,  Utah’s Joss Christensen, age 19, finished in second with a score of  92.00. Australia’s Russ Henshaw earned the third podium position with a score of 87.50.</span></div>

Devin Logan, age 17 of Dover, Vt., finished second with an 85.00 and Australia’s Anna Segal,  24, rounded out the podium in third with a 79.25.</span></div>

The Winter Dew Tour showcases top winter athletes from around the world competing in freeskiing (slopestyle and superpipe) and snowboarding (slopestyle and superpipe) for both men and women.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Snowbasin, which hosted the Men’s and Women’s Downhill and Super-G events for the 2002 W<span style="font-family: Arial;">inter Olympics, is a new host resort for the Winter Dew Tour, which had its inaugural season in 2008-09. </span> &#8221;Utah hosting the Winter Dew tour along with the Summer Dew tour continues to illustrate the growth Utah is experiencing in the action and adventure sports industry”, said Jeff Robbins, president &amp; CEO of the Utah Sports Commission, “Utah will receive significant benefit from this new event providing an anticipated $5 million in economic impact and $6 million in national and international media exposure.”</span></span></p>

The top athletes in the world will take part in this year’s Tour, all competing for the highly coveted Dew Cup that will be awarded in Mount Snow, Vt. at season’s end. The ’08-’09 Dew Cup champions include Shaun White (Snowboard Pipe and Slopestyle), Kelly Clark (Snowboard Pipe), Spencer O’Brien (Snowboard Slopestyle), PK Hunder (Freeski Slopestyle) and Tanner Hall (Freeski Superpipe).</span></span></p>
