Grand Gingerbread Village

Don’t miss the handcrafted gingerbread version of Santa’s workshop created by Snowbasin’s pastry chef, Rachael Goddard. The intricate Victorian toy inspired creation will be a part of the Grand Gingerbread Village on display at the Grand America Hotel from November 27th to December 20th. The unveiling of the village will take place at 6:30pm on the 27th with the Salt Lake Children’s choir, holiday treats and festive children’s activities.  Rachael’s masterpiece will be included in a silent auction in support of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), an organization dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes.

Formally trained in Switzerland, Rachel comes from a family of bakers. She baked her first cake at ten years old, and became a professional at the age of sixteen.
