I have lived in a major ski resort for the past twenty years due to my addiction to snow sports. Most years my friends and I hit the road for a week or so when conditions aren't the greatest here in Whistler. We will be giving Snowbasin a miss for the foreseeable future. The actions of it's employees are inexcusable and reflect the attitudes of a dying demographic in skiing. Although Tim Taylor is a ski professional, he is actually killing skiing at its roots. Unfortunately we have a similar problem here in Whistler. The enforcers of speed zones have become so militant and disrespected that some will run instead of pulling over. This has resulted in the mountain creating a dragnet with the local police detachment in order to catch those who run once they are off the mountain. By the way, the two riders are like choir boys compared to some of the punks who ride and ski here. Also they did nothing that was breaking the rules at any resort that I have ever skied at in the past thirty-something years, even if there was a slow sign at the top of the run.
