SUMMARY: Resort Guest Services is responsible for all guest interactions (wayfinding, parking, shuttling, welcoming) until guest have accessed Snowbasin trails or departed for home. Shuttle drivers are an integral part of these services by safely & efficiently transporting guests with a friendly demeanor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
1. Assist in parking operations
2. Drive vehicles (bus, trucks with trailers, vans) to transport guests
3. Offer information to guests (wayfinding, ski area info, etc.)
4. Snow removal (both from vehicles & walk ways)
5. Assist in recycling operations

Golf Cart, Gator, Shuttle Bus, Pick-up with tow trailer, 15 passenger vans

1. Guest safety while transporting
2. Operating vehicle safety
3. Personal safety while working around moving objects
4. “Slips & Falls” mitigation
5. Proper lifting techniques

Minimum of 21 years old

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

Commercial Driver’s License with passenger endorsement or current valid driver’s license with ability to obtain CDL with passenger endorsement (Snowbasin will assist in procurement)

Must be able to work outdoors for long periods of time.
Must be able to routinely drive a designated route.
Must be able to lift 80 pounds.

Retail Sales Associate Position Winter 2014/15

Must be Customer friendly, Employee Friendly, a Team Player and Punctual. Must become familiar with all aspects of Snowbasin Resort and Retail products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
1. Cashiering
2. Directing customers to products – Informing customers about products
3. Answering Customer Questions about all aspects of the Resort
4. Straightening and cleaning shop as needed
5. Stocking inventory
6. Preparing inventory for shop floor
7. Dealing with customer service issues

Computer/cash register

1. Lift in a safe manner
2. Use ladders safely
3. Have concern for customer safety
4. Wear appropriate footwear for icy outdoor conditions (can bring a 2nd pair of shoes for use in the shop.)
5. Drive winter appropriate vehicle with reliable snow tires

Cash handling and retail experience desired but not mandatory

High School Diploma and computer experience required


Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time, and able to lift up to 40 LBS.

Ski Patrol Position Winter 2014/15

Snowbasin Ski Patrol’s primary responsibility is to promote a mountain resort experience that is Adventurous yet Comfortable, while providing customer service that is Warm, Fun and Friendly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
1. Promote safety and provide exceptional customer service
2. Provide emergency care and transport for guests and employees
3. Contribute to the daily operation of the Ski Patrol and the resort
4. Perform lift/gondola evacuation and other search and rescue operations
5. Assist in avalanche reduction measures and other snow safety related duties

Radios, toboggans, snowmobiles, first aid equipment, avalanche beacons and probes, explosives, avalaunchers

1. Ensure the highest standard of safety is maintained throughout the resort
2. Enforce safe skiing and riding practices and provide related education when necessary
3. Demonstrate hazard awareness and the ability to relate it to risk reduction
4. Maintain signage, tower pads and other risk reduction strategies
5. Adhere to all Ski Patrol policies and procedures regarding rescuer safety

Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a drug screening and background check
Excellent customer service skills
Expert skiing ability; able to ski any terrain in varying conditions
Ability to work within a dynamic team environment
Available to work weekends and holidays

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous Ski Patrol experience desired

OEC or EMT with CPR for the professional rescuer
Maintain current and up-to-date medical qualifications

Must be physically capable of working long hours in all weather conditions
Work is performed in a mountainous winter environment in varying weather conditions

Owl Meet and Greet with Ogden Nature Center

Meet and greet some live owls and their human handlers from the Ogden Nature Center. Get up close and get your questions answered about native owls from Utah. Be sure to bring a camera for a unique photo opportunity!


The owls will be outside the Grizzly Center from 12-2pm  on Saturday, August 30th and September 6th.

Please show the owls respect and approach them quietly and from the front. Thank you!

Pray for Snow Party


Come bid adieu to summer, those hot days at the lake, and those dusty rides on the trail, and start dreaming of  winter! Powder stashes, off-piste ‘point-it’ sessions, face shots, and comforting food and lodges.  Remember what that tomato bisque tasted like?  The chili?  The Basin Connection after a great day on the slopes? It won’t be long if we all ‘Pray for Snow’!!

Free music and fun for the whole family! Food and beverage will be available for purchase, including hot drink specials!  Ski Flicks on the TV’s and the Big Screens! Live music from Two and a Half White Guys.

We will be releasing a ‘PRAY FOR SNOW’ beer only available at Snowbasin Resort for the entire state of UT.  It will be brewed by 10 Barrel Brewing Company.

***No outside food or beverage allowed in the music venue or the lodge.  Utah State Law prohibits the possession and consumption of outside alcohol including beer & wine on premise.  Bags may be subject to search at the music venue gate and any alcohol or outside food may be confiscated.  Dogs are allowed in the music venue, but they must be on a leash at all times, and they must stay on the grassy areas.  Dogs are never allowed in the lodges or on the patio.

Snowbasin Resort will be hosting a blood drive in partnership with ARUP Blood Services on Saturday, August 30th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Huntington Room of Earl’s Lodge.

Contributors need the following to participate: Photo ID, minimum of 110 pounds, 18 years old or older,  remember to eat well and drink extra fluids before.

Join us at the Weber Pathways 3rd Annual Trail Mixer for an evening of fun, food and fundraising to support the trails you love! This event will kick off at 5:30 p.m. on Earl’s Patio with a social provided by Sonora Grill and bar-b-que dinner accompanied  with live music by local artist Raven Spirit. Well-known auctioneer Chris Zimmerman will be auctioning off top of the line outdoor gear and activities in a live and silent auction. With your support, Weber Pathways will continue to extend and improve our wonderful system of trails in Weber County. You can pre-register for this event at or at the event.

Tickets are $50. All but $22.50 of each ticket is tax deductible.
