Gondola Open Labor Day – Kap Brothers 1-5pm

It is a gorgeous day to celebrate Labor Day at Snowbasin! In honor of the holiday, Needles Gondola will be operating today for scenic gondola rides, hiking and biking.

Join us in Wildflower Meadow for our free music series and BBQ beginning at 12:30pm. Let us cook for you today! Cold berages are flowing, and the Kap Brothers will play from 1 – 5pm. Bring your blankets or chairs. No outside food in the meadow please.

9/5/10 — Please be advised that we are experiencing unavoidable electrical interuption of Gondola service for Sunday, September 5th. Brunch will be served in Earl’s Lodge today rather than Needles Lodge. For bikers, additional van service is available for those that would like to enjoy the lower trails today. Schedules are available in the Grizzly Center. We apologize for the inconvenience, and are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. It is our goal to restore service for Monday. Please watch for further updates.

Our free music series and BBQ will take place in Wildflower Meadow today as scheduled. Today (Sunday, from 1-5pm is ABRAXAS, a Santana cover band. Bring your blanket or chairs for a fun afternoon! On Monday, join us for the Kap Brothers from 1-5pm. A BBQ and cold beverages will be served from 12:30 – 5:30pm on both days.

Snowbasin Ski Swap Scheduled in Davis Co.

The Snowbasin Ski Swap will be held October 22, 23, and 24, at the Davis County, Legacy Events Center, 151 South 1100 W, Farmington, Utah 84025. You’ll find amazing deals on new, famous brand, gear, at up to 70% off retail prices, and a spectacular selection of used gear. OVWSF coaches and staff will be available to answer your questions about gear or our the Snowbasin Alpine Team. It’s an event not to be missed!

Nick Fisher Takes 1st in 50k Mountain Bike Race

8/28/10 — The Mt. Ogden 50/100k Endurance Mountain Bike Race at Snowbasin is in full swing! Nick Fisher of Eden, UT, was the first to finish the 50k this morning in 3hrs. 5min. “The first lap was muddy, and second was really fast,” said Ogden’s, Brett Toliver. Brett finished the 50k with a big smile. The 100k racers are still working hard out on the course. The weather is perfect! Come up and enjoy the action, kids activities and non-stop music today. Two Week’s Notice is playing now, Chronic Layover next, finishing with Codi Jordan from 4-7pm.

Turner & Williams – Sunday, Sept. 12

[ September 12, 2010; 1:00 am to 5:00 am. ] Turner & Williams is slated to play blues and rock in Wildflower Meadow at Snowbasin on Sunday, Sept. 12th. The free music series continues through October 3rd at Snowbasin from 1-5pm, with a BBQ being offered beginning at 12:30pm.

For more information on 2010/2010 pass products, promotions and Snowsports Learning Center programs, stop by the Snowbasin booth at SNIAGRAB this Labor Day weekend. Snowbasin personnel will be on-hand at the SLC and the Riverdale Sports Authority stores to answer questions on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Find out about pre-season pass deals (on now through October 3rd) and which optionwill be best for you to enjoy skiing and riding at Snowbasin!

Moonlight Gondola Event – Friday, Sept. 24th

There is nothing like night sky from 9,000′! On Friday, September 24th, Snowbasin will open Needles Express Gondola operations for a special moonlight event and BBQ at 5pm. Bring the family for a casual BBQ at Needles Lodge with spectacular views from the base of the summit. Enjoy a mountaintop hike as the sun sets, and the (almost) full moon rises. The Astronomical Society will be on-hand with high-powered telescopes for otimal viewing of planets. Last ride down the mountain is 10pm. No reservations are necessary.

Red Cross of Northern Utah Autumn Gourmet Gala

The party of the year will be held at Snowbasin this year to benefit The Red Cross of Northern Utah on October 7, 2010. This is an exclusive new event that will be capped at 300 guests. In addition to Snowbasin’s award winning cuisine, guest chef’s from Northern Utah’s finest restaurants will prepare culinary masterpieces and showcase specialties from around the world. The signature tasting event, The Autumn Gourmet Gala, is an evening of taste tantalizing culinary delight. Cost is $75/pp, $125 VIP which includes a chef’s reception. “The” party will take place in Earl’s Lodge at Snowbasin, which is 45,000 sq. ft. of pure mountain luxury. Earl’s Lodge showcases six massive fireplaces with Italian glass chandeliers, imported European imported marble, custom-weave carpets from England, and oversized picture windows looking out to the spectacular mountains.
