Tour Of The Cirques
Come prepared because were going to the top! Hike from the top of Needles Gondola to the ridge and then from there to either Strawberry Peak or Mount Ogden Peak and then back to the Needles Gondola. This strenuous hike will give you a bird’s eye view of both the Ogden and Salt Lake Valleys.

Have you ever wondered how we make snow? Learn about the different aspects of snowmaking: snowguns, snow qualities, wet bulb and much more when you hike from the top of Needles to Snowbasin’s state-of-the-art snowmaking building. Tour the snowmaking building then hike down to the base area.

Beaver Dams
This hike starts and finishes on Snowbasin’s trail system but, in between, you will be bushwhacking through a wild meadow and slogging (in the best way) through some marshy areas and streams. You will see beaver dams and lodges and hopefully some of Snowbasin’s diverse wildlife. There may also be the opportunity to see the USFS yurt along the way. Water resistant footwear and a long-sleeved shirt is recommended for this hike.

The Tour of Utah is coming to Snowbasin Resort for the first time on Saturday, August 10th. The Ultimate Challenge Presented by the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah will start at Snowbasin and end at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort. The Ultimate Challenge participants will be able to race the same day and route as the Queen Stage (Stage 5) Tour of Utah competitors, a grueling 112 miles with 12,000+ feet of climbing. A superb corps of volunteers will assist riders every mile of the way. And regardless of where you choose to complete your personal Ultimate Challenge ride, you’ll find a good meal, a cool piece of shade, and a change to watch Stage 5 on the Tour of Utah Adobe Tour Tracker on a big screen HDTV waiting for you at the end.

Snowbasin Resort is proud to host the first annual Ragnar Trail Relays on August 16th & 17th. In this race you will be able to experiences it all the Snowbasin has to offer with rolling meadows, scenic canyons, and abundant wildlife. Whether you’re admiring the views of Pineview Reservoir , climbing the peaks above Earl’s Lodge or passing through the wildflowers in the sweeping meadow of Porcupine loop, each trail will give you a new and unique perspective of the Wasatch Mountains.
In between runs you will experience Ragnar Village at its finest, complete with a central fire, s’mores, live music, and dining at Earl’s Lodge. Join us for this unforgettable adventure in the peaks of the Wasatch Mountains.

The Monophonics return to Snowbasin Resort to play a FREE outdoor concert on the Patio of Earl’s Lodge as part of our Blues, Brews, & BBQ Sunday Concert Series on August 4th. With their brand of psychedelic soul & funk the Monophonics bring a party atmosphere that will have you wanting more days after the concert. Local favorites from Salt Lake The 3-2-1′s will be opening with their mixture of rock, soul, and blues with a dance hall feel. The 3-2-1′s will start at 12:00 pm with the Monophonics getting on stage at 3:00 pm.
