On a Snowbasin guided tour you can learn about what the resort has to offer during the summer. Discover Snowbasin’s extensive history, the science of snowmaking, or see what wildlife comes out when all the snow melts. Meet your tour guide every Saturday and Sunday at 1pm at the Moose in front of Earl’s Lodge from June 22nd through September 29th. *Bring hiking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, snacks and water. Tours last from 1-4 hours. Tours in the base do not require a gondola ticket.
Wildflowers & Plants
Enjoy Snowbasin’s diverse landscape with numerous wildflowers, shrubs and trees with an experienced guide. Along the way, flowers and other plants will be identified and the effects of weather, wildlife and environment will be discussed. This tour has something for everyone. The hike leaves from the top of the Needles Gondola and depending on the group, can either return to Needles for a scenic ride back down or the hike can continue to the base area. Length and difficulty can be adjusted to fit the group. The quantity and quality of Snowbasin’s wildflowers are entirely weather dependant. More moisture means more flowers.
