Snowbasin’s Free Guided Tours!

On a Snowbasin guided tour you can learn about what the resort has to offer during the summer.  Discover Snowbasin’s extensive history, the science of snowmaking, or see what wildlife comes out when all the snow melts.   Meet your tour guide every Saturday and Sunday at 1pm at the Moose in front of Earl’s Lodge from June 22nd through September 29th.  Come join Snowbasin for the chance to learn and experience our summer fun and deep history. Best of all its FREE!

*Bring hiking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, snacks and water. Tours last from 1-4 hours. Tours in the base do not require a gondola ticket.

Wildflowers & Plants

 Enjoy Snowbasin’s diverse landscape with numerous wildflowers, shrubs and trees with an experienced guide. Along the way, flowers and other plants will be identified and the effects of weather, wildlife and environment will be discussed. This tour has something for everyone. The hike leaves from the top of the Needles Gondola and depending on the group, can either return to Needles for a scenic ride back down or the hike can continue to the base area. Length and difficulty can be adjusted to fit the group. The quantity and quality of Snowbasin’s wildflowers are entirely weather dependant. More moisture means more flowers. Purchase ‘Wild Snowbasin’ in the Grizzly Center to follow along.

Mountain Bike Tour

Check out some of the 25 miles of cross-country style mountain bike trails that Snowbasin Resort has to offer with an experienced rider. The route selected for this tour will depend on the skill level of the group. Some biking skills are recommended.

Sunday Brunch at Needles Lodge

No better way to treat yourself then to join us for Sunday Brunch on the Mountain.  Located in Needles Lodge just a short ride up the Needles Gondola, at almost 9000’ your brunch backdrop will be sprawling views of Morgan, Ogden Valley and Pineview Reservoir. With the new addition of our Pastry Station mixed in with our always impressive “made to order” crepes and carving station, just to name a few,  you will make this weekend adventure a tradition just as we have. Summer Operations Start Father’s Day Weekend

The snow is melting and the flowers are blooming and Summer is just around the corner! On Saturday, June 15th we are proud to announce we will be opening for the Summer Season here at Snowbasin.  So tune up your bikes, pull out those hiking shoes and get ready to soak in some mountain air. Summer activities include mountain biking, hiking, disc golf, mountain-top dining at Needles Lodge, Blues, Brews, and BBQ series on Earl’s Plaza every Sunday, and more. Needles Gondola Summer Hours of Operations Starting June 15th:

  • Saturdays: 9am to 5:30pm
  • Sundays: 9am to 5pm

Ragnar’s Wasatch Back Relay June 20th & 21st

Ragnar’s Wasatch Back Relay will be celebrating its 10th year this summer and Snowbasin Resort is proud to be one of its major exchange points. June 20th and 21st you will be able to cheer your favorite runner, team, or just support the event as a whole as participants come through Snowbasin’s Earl’s Lodge base area. The Wasatch Back Relay is a 198.3-mile race that consists of multiple relay teams of 12 runners. Teams will rock out to live bands, enjoy the wacky participant costumes, and make life-long friends with teammates and competitors. Teams will party along the backside of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains from Logan to Park City, Utah via Snowbasin over this four day race.

 

Blues, Brews, & BBQ with Marinade and Folk Hogan

Join us on the Patio at Earl’s Lodge Sunday with Folk Hogan playing Folk, Punk & Gypsy….. followed up by Marinade playing Soul Funk & Rock as part of our Blues, Brews, & BBQ “FREE” Concert Series. Lukas Nelson & The Promise of the Real featuring Andy Frasco & the UN

Lukas Nelson, with his band Promise of the Real, return to Snowbasin Resort to play a FREE outdoor concert on the Patio of Earl’s Lodge as part of our Blues, Brews, & BBQ Sunday Concert Series on June 30th. For those not familiar with Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real they have played festivals and concerts all over the US bringing a high power Blues & Rock n Roll performance to the stage that is hard to match. But,the entertainment does not stop there opening for Lukas is Andy Frasco and the UN with their own amazing stage presence of Party Blues and fun for all to enjoy. Andy & the UN will start at 12:30pm with Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real at 3:30pm.

Father’s Day BBQ & Concert Sunday June 16th

No better way to celebrate Father’s Day then taking your Dad to Snowbasin for an Ol’ Fashioned BBQ featuring Beef Brisket, Fried Chicken, and Apple Pie just to name a few!  (click “Here” for Full Menu and Pricing)  The BBQ starts at 12:00 pm and will go through 5:00 pm on Earl’s Lodge Patio. The BBQ will be complemented with live music from the Austin Magazine award winning Screen Door Porch playing Alternative Amercana playing 2:30 pm through 4:30 pm with Shane Osgothorpe opening up at 12:00 pm playing Americana & Folk.  So come up to Snowbasin and treat your Dad to great food, Live Music, and amazing views on his special day.
