On March 17th Snowbasin will be hosting a St Patrick’s Day party on Earl’s Plaza serving Corned Beef & Cabbage along with Green Beer and live entertainment. So come out make some runs on the mountain and celebrate this Irish holiday at Snowbasin Resort!
Its that time of year again when the days are a little longer and the nights a little shorter. It is also that time again for the “Twilight BBQ and Ski/Snowboard Down” at Snowbasin. So join us on March 24th at Needles Lodge from 4 pm to 7pm for a great outdoor BBQ and then ride down the mountain in the spring twilight. Click here for full Menu.
Event participants may purchase a $10 lift ticket from 4 – 4:15 p.m day of the event. The last gondola ride will depart at 4:30, and the gondola will not run after 4:45 p.m. All participants must ski or snowboard down. Lift passes purchased on March 24th will be valid for the event, as well as season passes.
Cost for the barbecue for adults is $25 and children 6 and under is $12.50
Snowbasin Adaptive Sports Education Foundation is glad to announce the third annual “Winter Carnival and Demo Day” fundraiser on March 17th, at Snowbasin Resort. There will be Ski and Snowboard manufacturers present with new top of the line equipment to demo for a donation of $20. Carnival booths will be set up and include games, face painting, hot dogs, cotton candy, a silent auction and raffle prizes.
Tickets may be purchased in advance for $15 at the front desk of Snowsports, day of the event tickets will be $20. Tickets include carnival booths and a foot passenger ride up the Needles Gondola. Demo tickets are a separate purchase of $20 day of the event.
The Snowbasin Adaptive Sports Education Foundation provides winter sports experiences for people of all ages with disabilities. The Foundation is a 501c3 public charity. The funds raised at the Winter Carnival and Demo Day will go towards purchasing specialized equipment as well as providing scholarships for students from Northern Utah.

Salomon Announces Dates and Locations of Jib Academy Season Six
Salomon elevates the youth slopestyle dream in the event’s sixth season
Ogden, UT—Marking half-a-dozen years of slopestyle goodness, Salomon Jib Academy has announced its schedule for 2012. Five ski areas in the U.S. and Canada will host young athletes in one of the sport’s most coveted opportunities to learn from Salomon pros and compete for the chance to attend a week-long dream session at the Salomon Jib Academy North American Finals at Mammoth Mountain Resort in May 2012.
Internationally known as an unforgettable series of slopestyle contests for athletes 16 and younger, the program is free to enter and includes lunch, giveaways and a full day of shredding with Salomon pro coaches, which include Bobby Brown, Nick Martini, Alexi Godbout.
“Jib academy was a huge opportunity for me, and helped start my ski career. Now being able to go to the events and coach kids is awesome, says Salomon pro skier and first-ever Jib Academy winner Nick Martini.”
