Sunday Car Collection July 31st

This weekend’s Sunday afternoon concert-goers will have an extra treat. The Ogden Stags Club will be bringing 25-30 classic cars to Snowbasin in the early afternoon around 12:30 pm. The cars will be on display in the skier drop-off area in front of the lodges.   This is a great chance so see some real classics!

Sunday Entertainment and BBQ with Zion Tribe

Join us on Earl’s Patio Sunday for a delicious BBQ beginning at 12:30. The free music series will take place from 1pm – 5pm.  Bring your blankets, chairs and sunshades to enjoy the afternoon of good food and music!

2nd Annual Basin Bash XC Mtn Bike Race(ICup Final Event)

Snowbasin, for the second year in a row,  is hosting the final stop of the Intermountain Cup Race Series.  This XC Mtn Bike race consists of a 8.5 mile loop of single track across the lower mountain with the start and finsih right above the Grizzly Center.  The race covers most age levels and expertise by divisions.  Their will be an awards ceremony, BBQ, and live music after the race around noon.  So come out to Snowbasin to cheer your favorite racer on or take the challenge yourself.  For more information on the ICup series and the Finals at Snowbasin check the link below:

  • Enjoy Snowbasin’s diverse landscape with numerous wildflowers, shrubs and trees. Guides will help identify and describe many of the species of native flora and discuss effects of weather, location and wildlife on plants. This tour has something for everyone as the length and level of difficulty can vary. Depending on weather conditions many flowers and shrubs may be blooming. Come prepared to trek across varying terrain with your water, sunscreen, sturdy footwear and camera. 1.5-3 hours

July 23rd & 24th: Beaver Dams (base hike) – with Tim Franchi

  • This off trail hike will take you deep into beaver country. Make your way thru swampy conditions to experience beaver dams and lodges. But be quiet and sneaky for an opportunity to see native trout and potentially a beaver. Mosquito repellant, shoes that can get dirty, long pants and long sleeve shirts are recommended. 1-3 hours

July 16th & 17th: In and Outs of Frisbee Golf–  

  • Learn the basics of Frisbee Golf from what frisbee is your putter to how to get the most distance off the tee. This tour will also give you the opportunity to learn how to properly throw your frisbee, keep track of your score, and stay out of those water hazards… just to name a few.  Join Taylor Griffin Snowbasin’s local Frisbee expert for a great time with the whole family. 1.5 – 2 hours

  • What is Geo-caching? Tim Franchi will answer this, along with the etiquette and the how to of geo-caching. On this tour you never know what you could find.  If you have a GPS bring it or get a head start by visiting http://www.geocaching.com/ 1-1.5 hours

Snowbasin Rail Jam July 3rd

Snowbasin will be celebrating America’s independence with a Rail Jam at Earl’s Lodge base area on July 3rd.  Open to both skiers and snowboards Snowbasin will be supported by Blindside, NEFF, LRG, and Salomon to name a few.  So get your rail set up out because we are going to have a real good time with this one!  Snowbasin will also have a BBQ and music by the Kap Brothers for your entertainment on the 3rd.(Details below)
