Spring’s Coming Celebration! Needles @ Night March 27

Celebrate the coming of spring with an all you can eat BBQ at Needled Lodge on Saturday, March 27th from 4:30 – 7pm. Take in the view, enjoy a great meal, and ski down as the full moon rises!  No reservation necessary. Lift ticket required, and dinner is  $25/pp.

Dinner guests should be ready to load Needles Gondola at 4:30pm. Gondola access will not be available for late comers or non-skiers/boarders. Following the feast, two groups will be guided down the mountain in the moon light!

Winter Carnival at Snowbasin – Saturday March 20th

A winter carnival will take place at Snowbasin on Saturday, March 20th  to benefit adaptive sports programs. The carnival will provide a variety of family fun activities, and has been designed to educate the community in the world of adaptive skiing and snowboarding and increase awareness of Snowbasin Adaptive Sports. The carnival is open to the public from 9am – 3pm. Activities include a tubing hill ride, mini snow golf, blindfold ski shuffle, long ski stomp, snow bowling, face painting, temporary hair coloring, and a snow sculpture contest. Participants will also be eligible for a raffle for a pair of new skis, a set of golf clubs, or a painting by a local artist. Tickets include cotton candy, popcorn, hotdogs, music and more. Mark Your Calendars – Retro Day at Snowbasin March 21st

The 80′s called, and invited you to Retro Day at Snowbasin on Sunday, March 21st.  Mark your calendar and get to work on your wardrobe selection! A ‘fashion parade’ will take place on the plaza at 3pm with prizes, and a DJ will be spinning retro tunes for 1:30 – 4:30pm for an authentic party.

TOWN CHALLENGE SLATED AT SNOWBASIN

In the spirit of tradition, four Town Challenge races have been scheduled at Snowbasin. The GS races will take place on City Hill using the NASTAR start on Feb. 6, Feb. 27, and March 20. The finals will take place on March 27 on Wildcat Bowl. The Town Challenge is open to skiers and snowboarders, with awards given each week to individuals in each age category.

All races will be two runs with the best time counting for the places.  Age groups are as follows for male and female categories: Under 13; 14-18; 19-35; 36-49; 50 and over. Races start at 11:00am and run until 1:30pm, with awards at 3:00pm on Earl’s Patio.

 A raffle is held after each race, with donations from our sponsors. At this time, sponsors include Diamond Peak of Eden, Alpine Sports of Ogden, The Grizzley Center, and Budweiser. 

Registration is in Earl’s Lodge from 8:30 am to 10 am. Cost per race is $10. All participants must fill out a waiver and release prior to racing.  Teams consist of 4 individuals and 3 times count toward team awards at end of season.  Team fees are $120 for 4 racers.
