WOW! MUSIC FEST AT SNOWBASIN AUGUST 7 – 8
Top Name Performers Include Dwight Yoakam, Martin Sexton, Sam Bush, Dave Mason and More – Snowbasin has been home to numerous national and international sporting events. This summer, the resort has embarked on a two-day music festival featuring national acts including Dwight Yoakam, Martin Sexton, Sam Bush, and other top-name performers.
The Way Out West Music Festival at Snowbasin will feature two-days of non-stop entertainment, with gates opening at 10am on Saturday and Sunday. In addition to main stage performances, a second stage will feature local and regional entertainers including Ogden Friends of Acoustic Music (OFOAM). The festival area will include a number of specialty booths, beer gardens and food concessions. The gondola will also be open during the event, however, no bikes will be allowed on the godonal on Aug. 7-8. Bikes will be allowed on most trails, althought the trails behind the venue will be closed.
In addition to Dwight Yoakam the headling act performing Sunday night, the star-studded line-up for WOWFest also includes: Martin Sexton, Sam Bush, Dave Mason, Junior Brown, Trevor Green, Robben Ford, Cow Bop, Jonathan McEuen, and many more.
The final line-up is posted at: www. snowbasin.com/wow, and tickets are now available at the Grizzly Center at Snowbasin with no service charge (Fri., Sat., Sun.), Golden Spike Harley Davidson on Riverdale Road, and at: www.24tix.com. Tickets are $65 for one day or $100 for the entire weekend. Group discounts for six or more, and VIP tickets ($90 per day) are also available on-line. For children 12 and under as well as active duty military with ID, tickets are $50 for one day or $85 for two days.
Snowbasin is located just east of downtown Ogden, and 35 miles north of Salt Lake City. Lodging is available nearby at Lakeside Resort Properties, Ogden Marriott and surrounding properties. Camping is available at nearby campgrounds. Limited RV parking will be available. The event is being produced by ieconcerts.com, and sponsored by Snowbasin, KSOP, City Weekly, KCSG, Swire Coca-Cola, Wasatch Distributing, Standard-Examiner and Bank of Utah.

Does this mean that mountain bikes are banned from the gondola on the 7th and 8th? If so that is REALLY LAME.

The gondola will be running and you can absolutely take your bike up! The only way to get into the resort on Aug 7th and 8th, however, is to have a WOWFest ticket. It’s going to be a great show!

What is the schedule for what time certain performers are playing. I want to see Jr Brown & Dwight Yokum but must arrange work schedule as I must either work Saturday Or Sunday but cannot take off both days.

If I purchase a ticket for the 7th of August, does this mean I bring my bike and use the gondola?

No Bikes – August 7th and 8th. The gondola will be open to foot passengers only. Thanks for asking!

Will the gondola be running on Friday? Just to confirm, you cannot use the gondolas unless you have a ticket to the concert.

The gondola only runs on Saturday and Sunday during the summer. You do not need a concert ticket to enjoy the gondola on Aug. 7-8th!

What kind of food will be served at the food booths? Will Snowbasin be the only caterer or will there be other restaurants represented?

Bikes are not allowed on the gondola on the 7th and 8th. You are welcome to use the lower trails, althought the trails directly behind the stage area are closed.

BBQ and cold beverages are available. Snowbasin is the food provider.
