Snowbasin Trail Update – Closure Schedule
We are excited to see so many people enjoying the trails at Snowbasin this summer! Please note that due to safety reasons, there are a couple trail closures due to events on the mountain. Thank you for your cooperation!
Saturday, July 31st- Trails closed until 11am for the Intermountain Cup. Shuttle service will be running that day.
Saturday & Sunday, Aug. 7 & 8- WOWFest – Most trails are open to hikers. No bike access on gondola. No bike shuttle services. Trails behind concert venue will be closed on both days.
Saturday, August 28th- Mt. Ogden50/100k at Snowbasin – All trails will be closed for the race. No bike shuttle service.
Saturday, September 25th – XTERRA USA Championships – All trails will be closed for the race. No bike shuttle service.

Aug 7 & 8 the Gondola is closed to bikes, but what about peddling up?

WOW, I wish I would have known that bikes would not be allowed on the gondola so many days this summer before I purchased my pass. It would make more sense to allow bikes on the gondola this weekend and just restrict the open trails to not interfere with the WOW fest. Jodi, any chance this could be reconsidered and allow bikes on the gondola?

It sounds like you are a serious biker, and we’re glad you are enjoying the trails! Just to confirm: The gondola is closed to bikes on Aug 7-8, Aug 28, and Sept 25 – just four days this summer. We do our best to juggle safety and a few event throughout the season for the community.
