Utah’s 2002 Volunteers Invited to Keep The Dream Alive!

The 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City were an astounding success. Snowbasin, which hosted the men and women’s downhill and super G events, will celebrate Utah’s volunteer legacy on January 30th. Volunteers with a 2002 jacket are invited to Snowbasin for a group photo and celebration. Those who wear their jacket will be able to purchase a $30 all area day ticket to ski/ride Snowbasin (regular price $65).

A group photo will take place at the base of Needles Express Gondola at 2:00pm.

Salt Lake Organizing Committee’s volunteer program had three phases with approximately 8,000 volunteers for pre-Game activities, 18,000 core volunteers for the 2002 Winter Games, and 6,000 volunteers for the Paralympic Winter Games. Impressive!

Are the tickets for any day or just on the 30th?
Count me in for the picture.
    Can these then be purchased?

The idea is to reward the many volunteers that donated their time and talents to the 2002 Winter Games. You don’t have to ski! Come for the group picture, and share stories with your fellow volunteers. Hope to see you there!

The discounted tickets will be sold on the 30th for volunteers wearing a 2002 volunteer coat. Tickets must be attached to the volunteer coat at the window, and are valid on Saturday, January 30th only.
