Ice Luge This past weekend, the Winter Dew Tour graced the slopes of the Snowbasin Ski Resort in Ogden, Utah for the inaugural Winter Dew Tour Wendy’s Invitational. The Utah Sports Commission and Snowbasin Resort welcomed the Winter Dew Tour with open arms to Ogden for the tour’s first-ever winter stop there.
Throughout the weekend, over 30,000 spectators experienced the event at Snowbasin. On Friday night the Winter Dew Tour Music Series presented by Verizon Wireless hosted Dashboard Confessional with opening local band Codi Jordan. Crowds filled the Historic 25th Street of Ogden for the concert while exploring the street festival put on by Alli and the City of Ogden. Local businesses opened their doors to locals and guests to celebrate the Wendy’s Historic 25th Street Crowd Invitational arriving in town and radio station 107.9 The Mix broadcasted its entire night show from inside Roosters Brewing Company on Historic 25th Street.
The Snowboard Superpipe finals on Saturday night saw the largest crowd in Winter Dew Tour history, 14,000 spectators! The crowds were triple wide up the sides of the pipe and filled the areas in front of and behind the control tower at the base area. Sunday saw another great crowd for the Freeski and Snowboard Slopestyle finals.
At the end of the weekend, past Winter Dew Tour champions, as well as a few new faces rose as winners. Here is how the Wendy’s Invitational rounded out:
